APPCRASH on startup v2.01
Installed musescore 2.01 for first time (no previous versions installed) on windows 7 64 bit "home premium" os. I get the below msg on startup. I read a similar previous topic which suggested I go to the install file properties and unblock the security feature, which I did, but still no success. I've also uninstalled, re-booted, downloaded musescore again, unblocked security feature, and re-installed with same results. I've also installed same version on a windows 7 64 bit "professional" os with no problems... Here is the msg:

Could you try https://musescore.org/en/node/35956 ?
If that doesn't help try replacing the -F with a -w, a -t or -d ?

Tried all these with same result (-F; -f; -W; -w; -T; -t; -D; -d)...

Could you try whether the portable app works for you? You'd get it from https://musescore.org/en/download/musescore-portable.exe

I tried the portable version. Did not work. Appears to silently exit.
I also cannot get MuseScore 2 to run, under Windows 8.1 Home OEM. It crashes at the logo screen.
(Version 1.3 does work, but will not open the v2 music files.)

Have you tried the other steps I asked the OP to do, like using the -F, -t, -d options?

I plugged in headphones and it starts without crashing.
Do you have speakers plugged in? I noticed that there is a bug report about that.
Note: I do not have speakers plugged in at the moment.

So try a recent nightly build, which should have that bug fixed.

Where do I get a nightly build?
When will it be included in the version?
In reply to Where do I get a nightly by meirgreen
You'd get them from https://musescore.org/en/download#Nightly-versions. They are experimental though. But please check whether that crash is solved

and they all crash even if earphones are plugged in?
Works with earphones plugged in... thanks
