App crash in Mavericks
Hello out there!
I have an issue when opening the new app version 2.0.1 for mavericks. When I hit the Icon,
it gives me an error screen right away.
_____
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/libvorbisfile.3.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/MuseScore 2.app/Contents/MacOS/mscore
Reason: Incompatible library version: mscore requires version 7.0.0 or later,
but libvorbisfile.3.dylib provides version 6.0.0
_____
I run Mavericks at the moment, on a Macbook Pro ultimo 2011, so It should run,
right?
I have encountered this problem since version 1.3 came out, so I have
run version 1.2 ever since, which worked perfectly, and it really starts to bugging me! What can I
do?
Comments
Yes MuseScore should run on Maverick. Actually both version 1.3 and 2.0 should.
It looks like a configuration issue. I have MuseScore 2.0.1 installed on Yosemite and if I run the following in a terminal, I get version 7.6.0 for libvorbisfile.

I can put the whole thing you wrote there into terminal, but says; No such file or directory.
I have only encountered this problem with Musescore. I will be upgrading to Yosemite in a couple of days, and hope that will help at some point.
Another thing is, I tried to download the Nightly build, but it gave me the same error message on startup:

Have contacted Apple Support but haven't heard from them yet. Hope I do though.
Anyone has any input to this issue?

The only thing I can think of is that you have another software with libvorbisfile and somehow it interfers with MuseScore while it shouldn't.
Another similar report came in via email:
OS: MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9.5
The reporter did state that MuseScore 1.2 does run on his machine.
