Sound and Play back problems.
I'm currently working on a new project with the Musescore app and when it gets to the seventh measure the sound becomes distorted and the play back slows down. It sounds like a malfunctioning machine. This has not been a problem in past scores, and I have only three instruments loaded onto the score, and I have added more in past scores. Please help!

Which version of MuseScore, what OS, which Soundfont?
I can't reproduce with MuseScore 2.0.1 on Windows 7 (Enterprise, 64bit), 8GB RAM using the default soundfont
I have MuseScore 2.0.1 and I was using the Acoustic Guitar, the Piano, and B flat Clarinet. When I removed the guitar, the issue stopped. Does this mean there is something wrong with Acoustic Guitar Soundfont? I would like to continue using it, but this is very frustrating.
"Acoustic Guitar" is the name of an instrument, not the name of a soundfont. The soundfont provided in 2.0.1 by default is called FluidR 3 - you can see this in View / Synthesizer Is that what you are using, or have you changed it? FluidR3 is on the large side and might possiby overwhelm older computers or ones with not enough RAM. You can try another (smaller) soundfont - see the relevant section of the Handbook for more information.
Also, please don't assign yourself to an issue unless oyu are planning to provide the fix :-) Your name is automatically recorded as the person who submitted it.
Except that, I posted this because I didn't know to fix or or what to look for. I'm really, really new to this program, so by telling me all this, your really not helping. I have no idea where to find a lot of what you just mentioned, and whatever the "fix" is, I couldn't tell you what information that is supposed to be. So, yes. This is still an issue. >:|
Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I realize you don't know how to fix bugs in the software. That's why I'm telling you not to assign yourself. "Assigned" is for the person who will fix a bug, if indeed there is a bug. Right now, I don't think there is a bug - I think your computer just perhaps cannot handle the soundfont. And whether or not there is a bug, again - please do not assign yourself.
The information I asked for is, what do you see listed when you go to View / Synthesizer from within MuseScore? By default it should be FluidR3; I am asking if it is something else. Then I am am saying, if it *is* still FluidR3, try a different soundfont. To try to a different soundfont, go to the Handbook (also see link in menu at right of this page, or Help / Online Handbook form within MuseScore), then search for the word "Soundfont". In general, the Handbook should be the first palce you turn to for answers, so you want to get familiar with how to find it and how to find information within it.
Also, in the future, instead of using this Issue tracker, please use the Support forum - see the "Forum" link, also in the menu at right of this page - to ask for help. The Issue tracker is appropriate only once you have confirmed, through discussion on the forum, that there is actually a bug in the software. And again, I don't think that is the case here.
Again, I am very new to all this, and I don't understand most of this. The handbook doesn't help me much as, to me, it's very hard for me to understand. Telling me does nothing, I have to be shown, so I guess, thanks for nothing, because I am still clueless.
I am trying to help. Can you at least say which specific part of which specific suggestion you are having trouble with? Have you found the Handbook? have you found the Soundfont section within it? Have you tried downloading any of the soundfonts listed?
Sorry, if I replicate things other already said or you already understood. Did you try the hints?:
1. What is shown if you click in the file menu "view" and on the entry "synthesizer"? there should be an entry in/under the section "fluid".
2. To try another soundfont: Here you'll find in the handbook a list of different soundfonts:

Download one of the listed soundfont files, extract the zip-file an save the folder into he right path.
If you're using windows the right path/place/folder is : %HOMEPATH%\Documents\MuseScore2\Soundfonts
and if you're using Mac or Linux it is: ~/Documents/MuseScore2/Soundfonts
Then in Musescore click again on the file menu "view" and the entry "synthesizer". There is an button "add" and you should see the new soundfont.
What happened if you chose the new soundfont and play your piece.

I'm over this. You're only confusing me more.
I hate to see this go unsolved. Let's make it a little simpler. Instead of asking you to search the site for things, let's point straight to them.
So, first of all, the Handbook can be found here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook

Okay? Now, let's break it down. I'm going to walk you through this, step-by-step. Do the following:

1) Open https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfont-0#list. Click on the second link to download GeneralUser GS.
2) When the download finishes, double-click the file downloaded (a .zip file) to open it and extract the file "GeneralUser GS MuseScore v1.442.sf2."
3) Double-click that file to open it in MuseScore. Click "Yes" when the dialog window appears asking if you want to install the SoundFont.

That's the first part. Now you have the SoundFont GeneralUser GS installed, and you're ready to try to use it.

4) Open the score that's giving you problems.
5) Go up to the top of the screen, and click where it says "View." A menu will appear. Click on "Synthesizer."
6) The Synthesizer is a small window that will appear in front of the main MuseScore window. In that window will be an "Add" button. Click on that button.
7) A very tiny window will appear with the list of all your installed SoundFonts (most likely it will be only two). Choose "GeneralUser GS" from that list.

At this point the SoundFont has been set, and you can close the Synthesizer window. Now, let's see if it fixed the playback problems.

8) Try playing the score again.
9) Report back here as to whether that fixed the problem! Okay?
