Windows 8
I have just bought a new PC and it is loaded with Windows 8. When I try to install and run Musescore I get the error message "Musescore has stopped working"
Are there any techos out there that can help?

Things to try:
- see Handbook under Known incomaptibilites
- see Handbook under Revert to factory settings
- make sure you have a speaker or headphones - things can go wrong if there is no sound device
Another thing to try is run the portable version of MuseScore which you can download from https://musescore.org/en/download/musescore-portable.exe

Thanks for all your help. The problem was a new computer with no speakers.
