Adobe Flash
As you must know, Mozilla (and others, such as Facebook) have blocked the increasingly vulnerable Adobe Flash in either a triumph of the power of the free market or the lawlessness of the internet, and MuseScore.com doesn't play scores without a warning. The prescribed remedy is HTML5 -- is there an upgrade plan?
Thanks.

I subsequently installed the very new Flash 209, which is not blocked, so it works anyway. But the demise of Flash seems imminent. What is the story with MuseScore.com, does now no longer use Flash?

MuseScore.com now favors HTML5 if the browser is able to read MP3 files with it. There is still a fallback to flash in case the browser can't. If there is no HTML5 mp3 support nor flash player installed, then there is no playback.
