Issues with 8va line hooks
(Nightly: 096e59f). See attached file.
A problem has occurred with the 8va lines. The lines were originally specified in the palette to have an end hook of 0.5 (as seen in bar 16). But the hook has somehow got much bigger in bars 19-22! The 8va seems, perhaps, to be "trying" to follow the vertical span of the notes underneath.
(P.S: There is another problem which I have just reported on the issues board: The text-size is showing wrongly. They have been reized to 10 pt but the line properties show them as 12 pt. And, if you go into line properties and change hook size, for example, then the text will also reset to the default 12pt.)

It looks like those are at the default length. I guess you create a custom line and applied that, but is it possible you at some point reset those customziations with Ctrl+R? If not, can you post precise step by step instructions to reproduce the problem from scratch?
To reproduce bug, see attached file:
Note the 8va symbols in various bars. The text is set to 10pt (although due to a bug it shows in "line properties" as 12 pt) and the end hook to 0.5 sp.
Now open the Style > General window and just click OK (without making any changes). The 8va hooks are now much bigger!

OK, this seems related to the other issue then - in both cases, the ottavas are being reset to style defaults in appropriately. Workaround is the same - rather than overriding those defaults individually for each ottava, just change the defaults.
Should I file this as an issue?

I added a comment to #69221: 8va text reverts to default 12 when other "line properties" are changed with a link here, so no need. I strongly suspect these will turn out to have the same basic cause and will be fixed together. If not, we can open a new issue then.
