Playback causing the score to freeze
I'm using Windows 7 and version 2.0.1. Have written several scores and encountered no problem.
My last score 4th worked ok and I was able to ammend and playback. However after some ammendments to repeat signs, the playback feature has now ceased to function (only with this score), and when I try to use it,it freezes and greys out the score,
A notice comes up that says ,the application has requested the run time to terminate in an unusual way. Pleasecontact the application support team'
Rebooting does not help. I can still ammend the score, but can't listen to it. Once it has frozen up I have to close down and start again

After clicking on File attachments drag your file on the button. (If you use Firefox checks for add ons, eg. NoScript). Or save online, if you want.

You may need to revert to factory settings . As to attaching files, can you try with another web browser?

Here is the score. As I said previously it did work with the earlier version, but suddenly stopped, while other saved scores were ok.
Now with version 2.0.2 there is no sound on any

Follow the advice of ZackTheCardshark;
Open synthesizer and check if you have loaded a soundfont

for me (Vista / 2.0.2 or Nightly) working properly

It plays back just fine for me with 2.0.2 on OS X (nice music, by the way). So I'm guessing that the problem is that your settings have become corrupted somehow. It's not 100% certain, but I have a very strong guess that reverting to factory settings (I linked you to instructions above) will fix it.

Thankyou for the help you are giving. Unfortunately I'm having some difficulty following your suggestions. First of all there are no sounds in the synthesizer window, though there are two tabs that indicate what I presume are two sounds. But the window is empty
Secondly, if I try to revert to factory settings, the open button in the browse window for muse score does not open anything in the Run dialogue window. If I select what you say should be displayed in the Musescore2 browse window( "C\Programme files...........etc. ' with the file tab), and open it it tells me that the programme is not recognised. It is however downloaded fully as I can open it from an icon on my desktop.
The run box only displays 'services msc'. Hope you can follow what I'm saying.

If I uninstall and start again, how can I be sure that my scores are retained and able to be reinstated upon reinstallation of the application
In reply to If I uninstall and start by DavidGG
Uninstalling will only remove the software itself—your files (scores, etc.) will remain untouched. However, by the same token, the file that contains MuseScore's settings will also remain untouched. That file can only be fixed by the factory reset process, or by manually deleting it. I don't know where preference files are located on Windows—can any Windows users help out?

Thankyou so much guys for your help.
I have resolved the issue and found that it was indeed the fact that there were no sound fonts loaded. The trouble is I'm struggling often(as a 72 year old! to cope with a lot of the computer jargon and have to work hard at getting my mind round the procedures. Anyway, the matter of no sound is sorted, though I dont know what caused the first problem when the 2.0.1 version was installed. I'm wondering whether it was possible because of my constant editing and deleting to have switched something off by mistake. Until it happens again, i guess I'll never know. Thanks again. DG
Having just made the above comments, I have just gone into my files again and found that the synthesizer once again has nothing in it. So whatever I did last night has not remained. how can I ensure that the sound font stays put?
In reply to Thankyou so much guys for by DavidGG
Spundfonts don't move of their own accord. The most likely explanation for the original problem is that you might have had 2.0 installed in one folder, then installed 2.0.1 to a different folder, then remove the original2.0 installation. 2.0.1would have still been looking for the soundfonts in the old 2.0 location, which no longers exists. Following the instructions in "Revert to factory settings" in the Handbook fixes this and makes MuseScore look in the 2.0.1 location. Once you do that, nothing should that unless you go in to Edit / Preferences and tell MuseScore to for soundfonts somewhere else.
So it's hard to say exactly what might be happening, but if you never did the Revert, you should do it now. Actually, first you should install 2.0.2.
I tested your piece in my PC (Lubuntu and MuseScore 2.0.0) and it sounds great!!!
You need one (at least) soundfont file loaded into the synthesizer window. To get it, you need to put all the soundfont files you have in your PC into the same directory (.../musescore/sounds). However, it is supposed that MuseScore has its own soundfont file into that directory, so it is so rare you don't have it into the synthesizer panel window.
BTW: A very kind music piece!!! (just some lyrics text formatting issues, but nothing without a good and easy fixing process).
