Can't change TAB font size and offset:
Changing the TAB font size and vertical offset in TAB staff properties > advanced style properties (see image) doesn't seem to make any difference to the size or placement of the TAB numbers.

That's the setting for the duration symbols used in the lute tablature styles. You want the settings on the Fret Marks tab.
