Change the way notes appear on the score

Hi i have some music that was originally written in finale but they lost the files. now we only have pdf versions so I'm entering them in musescore so we can eventually edit the songs to our needs.
But the way the notes appear is different between what's on paper and what i get in musescore.

and this is what i get with musescore:

is it possible to get musescore to appear the same way?? what setting do i need to change??
