Need help converting xml to mscc
Hi,
I need to convert about 450 xml files to mscz.
I guess MuseScore 2 will handle a batch conversion, but my old Mac won't run it, I have MuseScore 1 v1.3.
I also don't know whether old 1.3 will read files that have been converted by MuseScore 2.
They're from a music ed book I'm about to list on Amazon ... GarageBandTheory (.com) ... and these will be a free download so every example in the book will be audible as well as all the other stuff that MuseScore does. Providing a link on the site to come here for MuseScore.
Wondering if there's someone here who's up for doing the conversion.
Thanks,
Duke Sharp

MuseScore 1.3 can't read MuseScore 2 files. But 1.3 can open the MusicXML files you can export from MuseScore 2

Ciao ekuD, we can do an experiment.
Attach here one of your scores xml. I can try to convert it with 2.0.2 and attach here the results. You can judge if the quality is satisfactory.
I am only an end user and not very practical ;-)

Hi Shoichi,
Thanks, that's a good idea!
I attached a few xml files. There are 450 altogether, need to see if the batch converter works instead of individually.

I'm impressed. I had no doubt the boys but my old Vista ... a little.
Downloaded the plugin, added to the folder (such as handbooks), launched, selected formats> ok: Done!

If you save your files to an external storage device (pen drive) and add in it the portable version
( https://musescore.org/en/download/musescore-portable.exe ) then you could use the computer of a friend
