Sound Output

I have the latest version of Musescore (2.0.2) and for some reason the sound output isn't working when i open up the application. i have tried to figure out why this happens but i don't know why it won't work
my computer is a mac so musescore should work but it won't
what should i do?
I've tried deleting the application and reinstalling it but that didn't work
i tried restarting my computer but that didn't do anything

Probably an installation problem - confusion over which folder it was installed in. See the Handbook under "Revert to factory settings" - that resets things that reinstalling does not.
