Adjusting length of various lines
I have 4 lines of lyrics on part of the score,
and 2 lines of lyrics on the rest of the score.
I would like to shorten or lengthen selected
measures so that the same number of lines of
lyrics occupy the full width of the score at
each passage across the page.
How can I adjust slightly the widths of the
measures. Or is there another way?

Hi,
I think you could use breaks or even adjust the stretch of the measures you want.
Take a look at these pages of the manual:

Thanks.
Stretch works nicely if I could give it something to say how much.
It does stretch only the selected measures doesn't it?

Yes, only those selected!

No way to tell it how much stretch?

As far as I know no. I don't know if this is your case, but you can also adjust the Scaling. You can find it in Layout > Page Settings. This is a global parameter of the part your editing.

right-click → Measure properties → layout-stretch
