invisible stave tick box not recognising
Ctrl right clicking on the stave takes me to bar properties in which I can make the stave invisible for stick notation on a mac. This has been working, but today, the box is already depressed with a light grey tick in it and refuses to accept anything. Therefore, I cannot write stick notation. Any ideas?

Not sure what "stick notation" is, but the option in measure properties to make a measure invisible for one particular staff applies only for scores with multple staves. It's possible one of the options in Staff Properties would better serve your needs. Can you explain in more detail what you are trying to do, and attach the score you are having problems with (see "File attachments" link right below where you type your reply)?

Hi Marc,
Thank you for replying. Sick notation is just rhythm with sofa added underneath (used in the Kodaly method).
I have attached "Sally go round the sun", which is the version that worked yesterday.
I have also attached "Apple tree", which is the version that is refusing today....!
I know it works with a single line as a lot of my colleagues use it for song analysis and teaching purposes.

"Sally" is not using invisible measures in measure properties - it is using "Invisible staff lines" in Staff Properties. And that will work in "Apply Tree" as well.
