deleting lyrics from muical notes
Musescore (v0.9.6.3)
When I copied musical notes of one verse to another place, the lyrics were copied as well. Is there a way to delete lyrics of one verse in one sweep rather than deleting each word manually?
Best regards from japan

You can drag-select several lyric syllables at once. Press and hold Shift on the keyboard, click and drag the mouse and extend the blue rectangle around the syllables you want to delete.
Make sure your blue rectangle is large enough to fully envelop the lyric syllables, but not too large that it selects notes on the staff. Here's video demonstration: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/892408/selection%20from%20above.theora.ogv
After you have selected multiple syllables you can delete them with one press of Del.

I tried that before posting my question but for some reason it did not work. I will try again, thank you kindly.

I suspect the key is described in the beginning of David's 2nd paragraph.

If you are using a Mac, you can also use the Command Key (Apple Key) to select more than one syllable-unit of the lyrics. This is useful if you only want some of the lyrics to be selected. The advantage of the Command Key is that, in general, it only selects the things you click on, and doesn't also select everything in between.
But it would be great if there were a way to select a whole line of lyrics and delete it all in one go. I spend a huge amount of time when making song translations, just deleting English lyrics.

Try to right click a lyric element -> Select -> All similar element
