Crescendo mark different on score and parts
If a crescendo "hairpin" mark is placed on a score and edited to lengthen it, when the score and parts are generated, the score has the crescendo at the correct (edited) length, but the parts have the crescendo at the original (unedited) length. See attachment.

This only happens if you increase the length of the hairpin by using the arrow keys or by dragging it with the mouse. This is a cosmetic lengthening of the hairpin - usually used for fine adjustment of appearance - and you would expect the parts to revert to normal length.
If you mean to edit the hairpin to have it apply to more notes then you should double-click to select it and use [Shift][RightArrow]. In this case the parts reflect the edit carried out in the score which, again, is the behaviour you would expect.

Your diagnosis is right on.
As a relatively new user of Musescore, I had not appreciated that the method used to edit affected the rendition in the parts.
Thanks for taking the time to point this out.
