Trying to color score text
but the option is grey out when I select the numeral I have put under a note (e.g. "1"). Do I need a plugin? I want to number some note using the Lyric lines but only default black. Advice appreciated.

What type of text are you trying to color? Which Version of MuseScore, what OS? Can you share the score?
If I try to color a lyrics syllable in Musecore 2.0.2 on Windows 7 it works just fine.
Sorry, Maccbook Pro Yosimite. Latest MuseScore. Lyrics text edit option in menu bar greyed out.

Excellent thanks. I see if I set the style to red as I wanted in the Style dialogue it will apply to new documents (I assume) so will have to remember to set it back. Thanks.

No, Style applies only to ther current document. But it will apply to all elements that use that style, including existing elements and elements you dd later. Whereas the Inspector affects the selected element(s) only.
You can, btw, make changes to the default style that is applied to new documents. Save the current style via Style / Save, then specify that file to be used in Edit / Preferences / Score. Or save the document itself as a template and create new scores from that template.

Oh, OK thanks, I will make a template if needed.
