Creating guitar tabs
I'm trying to do a guitar tab with a whole note on one string and a quarter note on another on the same beat. It is shown in the example on the Tab handbook page, but is not explained. Help please.

Having different rhythmic values on the same beat in the same staff means using multiple voices - see the Handbook section on Voices. Works pretty much the same way for tab as standard staves.
