Musescore 2 creates unnecessary desktop shortcut
Musescore 2 installed, no mention of desktop shortcut during installation, but one appeared on screen.
No program should ever create a desktop shortcut unless it has been told to do so.
Desktop shortcuts are almost always clutter, an unnecessary nuisance.

I've virtually never starterd MuseScore via the programs menu, but alwaeys via the icon on the desktop. There I do keep my top 5 or so programs.
But yes, the installation wizard should ask for this (but default to add it, it is easier to delete later than to add)

And I always use the task bar :)

Jojo, I agree that the option during installation, with default to add it, would be a good policy, for the reason you gave.

And if there were another option to add it to the Task bar, I'd rather have it default to off ;-)
(it is not too diffcult to 'pin' a program to the Task bar, once you got it running, but there's much less space for this vs. the desktop)
