Midifile doesn`t play
When Musescore2 and Cantabile 2 are applicated together, the Playing of the Midifile is blocked by the Cantabile 2 application.Or,if Musescore 2 is started first,Cantabile2 doesn`t play the sound.

Which OS? What exact version of MuseScore?
Why "Technology Preview", are you using a nightly build?
The O.S. is Windows 7. The Problem also appears with the normal Musescore2-Version(Not a nightly version).

"Go into your soundcard configuration from Control Panel and ensure that the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the Advanced tab of both Playback and Recording is unticked."

Which sound driver are you using for Cantabile?
If it's ASIO4ALL then a known limitation is that you cannot run two applications using the same interface.
The solution here may be to install JACK and use the JackRouter ASIO driver for Cantabile.
