How to increase the space between systems, without increasing system size?

• Nov 25, 2015 - 08:58

Wondering how to do this. I can go to Layout > Page Settings > Scaling, but this will change the size of the systems, too. I'd like to keep the systems nice and tight, but put more space in between them - for a cleaner look.

I've got quite a few high and low beams in the manuscript, so that's why.

Any idea how to do this?

Thanks

I know there is an easy way to solve my problem, but I have forgotten. My last line in a score fills the page out so that only few notes fill it out, but I want the same space in the last line as in the score. I have been adviced to ask here in this forum, and I cannot find the answer in the manual

You ised the PDF Import or imprted from MIDI?

Anyway, here are all (and 2 more) stanzas for that piece ;-)

1. God rest you merry, gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay, For Jesus Christ our Savior
Was born upon this day, To save us all from Satan's power When we were gone astray:
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and joy.
2. In Bethlehem, in Israel, This blessed Babe was born, And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn, The which His Mother Mary Did nothing take in scorn:
3. From God our heavenly Father A blessed angel came, And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same, How that in Bethlehem was born The Son of God by name:
4. The shepherds at those tidings Rejoiced much in mind, And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm and wind, And went to Bethlehem straightway, This blessed Babe to find:
5. But when to Bethlehem they came, Whereat this Infant lay, They found Him in a manger,
Where oxen feed on hay; His mother Mary kneeling, Unto the Lord did pray:
6. Now to the Lord sing praises, All you within this place, And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace; This holy tide of Christmas All others doth deface

The usual blunderer's method :(

I added 20 measures, and used them as a "parking";
I copied, pasted and exchanged the voices 1/2 (now the lyrics are in Voice1 from measure 21);
deleted lyrics from measure 2 to 20;
pasted in measure 2.
