Visual C++ Runtime Error
Good morning.
first bug : I'd like to report a bug but the link in the application (help menu) is dead.
second bug :
I'm trying to open a file. I don't know why but now, when I try, it opens a window called
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
saying
"this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
With a single button "OK". When I click it, that window closes and Musescore doesn't open.
The last and single change I did, before saving and closing it, was to erase a piano system which was empty in my part. The minute after, I couldn't open that file anymore.
I use Windows 7.
I updated and then repaired Musecore 2.0.2. It has no effect.
Hope you'll mend it. Else, could you help me to mend it ?

Well, the link to Report a bug works for me (Windows 7, MuseScore 2.0.2), it here gives https://musescore.org/de/node/add/project-issue/musescore?sha=f51dc11
I can confirm the Crash on that file (well, actually an endless loop, it seems), with MuseScore 2.0.2 as well as with the latest development build.

It is full (really full, 6.2 Million times!) of stuff like

Deleting them all lead to a score I could open without a crash

I took the backup file, erase the dot and change the extension. I could open it. Great !
Then I erased the piano system, saved the file, closed it. At the reopening: same runtime message again ! What's up ? (I join the backupfile and that new Bidonville_5)
Ps : in windows 7 and later, we cannot easily erase the comma at the end of the extension (that could be done on XP). I had to install a program in order to change those extensions. Is there an other simple way to do it ? (Nota : The hidden files are shown.)
Ps 2 : I could open Bidonville_6. Thanks. But why did that problem appear ? I'm afraid that it appear again next time or next file. I'd like to know a mean to avoid it next time. Should I erase musescore and completely install a new one ?

I'm not sure why you should be having to install extra software in order to change file extensions???
It is something I do on an infrequent basis, and all that happens is a warning box pops up to tell you the file may not open which you then confirm that you want to change it.
I'm now on Windows 10, but the same process occurred in Windows 8.
Maybe you should look at your UAC settings.

Ok.
I can't see extensions because of a checked case.
I had to go on my window in the organize menu on the left, files and search options, display finger, uncheck the "hide known type file's extensions"(I try to translate...). Then it works.
Everyday I learn...

Changing the extension does work on Windows 7 too, no extra Software needed.
Why the Problem happens is unclear so far, but I guess with the files you attached we can reproduce the Problem, which always a vital step towards a fix. (very interesting to see how much larger it gre after you removed the piano, more than tripple the size, where it should have gotten smaller instead)
No need to remove or reinstall MuseScore, this surely won't fix anything.
Edit: no need to delete the Piano, to trigger the file growth and the hang/crash, simply changing from continous mode to page mode, save the file and reopen is sufficient!

Edit2: not even that Switch is needed to trigger the problem, just open the (small) file, save it (becomes much larger) and open it again!

I agree with those edits.
I tried simply to save then to open it and musescore crash...
I tried to open a previously made version, bidonville_4 (I join it. Maybe it could help the staff to see what has been changed), and it works properly. I tried to save then open bidonville_6 given in the morning by the staff : no problem.
What happend to that damned file ? Twilight Zone ?

Hmm... using the latest nightly I opened Jo-jo's fixed file (133Kb), switched to Page view, saved a new one, quit, reloaded the new one (still 133Kb), resaved, and still 133Kb. What did I miss because I'm not seeing your file grow?

'my' file doesn't Crash or grow, I've manually removed the excess lines (and went too far in the process I think), you need the 218k file, the one with comma at the end (and rename it, of course)
I got this problem a few months ago, and someone in a stream of mine figured it out. Are you using any non-default soundfonts that are loaded and are pretty big? I find that if you don't have enough ram, these soundfonts usually take up a lot of ram when being used and are in the program directory files. Try removing them if you don't have enough ram.
