MuseScore fails to start every alternate time.
Hello,
MuseScore-2.0.2 compiled properly on Slackware Current (32-bit). But when I run it it quits with the following error message:
The previous session quit unexpectedly? Restore session. Yes/No
When I click on Yes, it starts.
What should I do to correct this?

Did you do the 'make install' step?

Qt5.3 at least, bettet 5.4
In reply to Qt5.3 at least, bettet 5.4 by Jojo-Schmitz
Hello,
I compiled with Qt5.5.1 which has been installed along with Qt-4.8.7 which is the default Qt package in Slackware Current.
To compile with Qt5.5.1, I included the following two lines in the buildscript:
export QTCHOOSER_RUNTOOL=qtconfig
export QT_SELECT=5
After installing the compiled package the same starting problem was there.
When I disable splash screen and select Start Empty in the preferences dialog, it is starting properly.
Is there any patch to be applied to correct this?
Anand

MuseScore's not yet ready for Qt 5.5.1. see also my PR at https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/2131, which is for Windows.
See also https://musescore.org/en/node/81411 and #71001: 'loading' window at startup does not close if using Qt library version == 5.5.0 (which current arch linux release uses). There are some more posts mentioning Qt 5.5
