Is there a tutorial on layouts?

Is there a complete tutorial on layouts - how to put a score or a page together, when to use each type of break, page formats, etc.? Possibly with examples that learners can practice. What markings and page sizes to use for various purposes, etc. Arranging the stretch and layout took a lot of time today as I had a large musical example that had to be read into Word and I am still not sure how the margins will come out until I print it out.
