Breath marks
Breath marks seem to be implemented weirdly. The symbol in the palette is what I expect to see, but when I place it in the stave I get something closer to a single pause line, which sits in the staff and interferes with note positioning, where I would expect it to be a comma above the staff.

If I click on a note and then double-click the Breath in the palette it looks like this

That's what I get. I guess it's just me, but I've never seen a breath mark look like that. I am more used to

particular situation, try to flip beams pressing X
or press Z and enter the symbol from there

Every publishers used different fonts fot breath marks. The symbol used by default in MuseScore is pretty standard, but there are others in common use as well, such as the one in the image you posted. You can try a different music font in Style / General to see if one suits your preferences better, but they all mean the same thing.
