Holding a note down whilst others played.

I want to play a broken chord say C thus: play hold C then E then G then C, now release C play G then E. This is similar (or the same?) as in the ABRSM Jazz Grade 1 Inchworm piece 9th bar where the note D is held until the note B expires in the same bar.

How do I configure this on the score? Thanks.
