Incorrect template
Using MuseS core 2.0.2 rel f51dc11 under Win 7
I'm re-working some music for a male voice choir so I thought I would create and use a custom template.
I started a new song, using the existing "Grand Staff" template from the "General" section, then amended the treble clef to an Octave treble clef. Changed the location of the composer and lyricist. I then saved that as a standard musescore file (attached as "Hear ye the Promise") That shows everything as I expect it.
I then saved it again as "MVP.mscz" into my template folder (also attached) and also showing everything as I expect.
Now I go to create a new piece.
I enter the title page, press next and I get the New score page.
I select my MVP template from Custom templates, add key and time signatures and then select "finish"
What I get has lost the Octave Treble Clef and the composer/lyricist line has gone back to the default. (attached as "A New Piece.mscz)
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Can anyone point out what my error is?

The piano, which you took as the basis, does have a normal treble clef as the default. Press I and have a look. And that defrault is used when using it as a template.
You could use the SATB template and delete S and A and go from there?
Or just create a template afreash from scratch and add Tenor and Bass staves?
Or use the attached template, I've edited your's so the G8vb is the default clef
In reply to The piano, which you took as by Jojo-Schmitz
Thanks Jo-Jo,
I did wonder if starting with the Piano was the cause but having saved what I had at each stage seemed to indicate not. How easy it is to be misled.
Thanks for the edited file, I will use that and continue with my project.
