volume is low on tuba and i can't increase it
I've written a brass quintet piece but the volume for the tuba is so low i can barely hear it. I tried the mixer but heard no difference, I wrote the pc in Musescore 1 if that makes a difference.

Have you changed the soundfont?
In any event, the mixer should work. Try muting all instruments except for the tuba; then increase the volume in the mixer, the Play Panel (or Synthesizer), and even the OS system volume control. Can you hear the tuba?
If you're using laptop speakers, perhaps the speakers themselves cannot adequately handle the lower tuba frequencies... maybe use headphones.
Regards.

It is often the case that when an instrument in a group is too quiet, and you can not increase it enough, that the other instruments are too loud. You can decrease them and them boost the overall sound in your computer's mixer, that may help.
