I stumbled across that too, looks plain wrong to me.
It should really be "Güiro", in the source (https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/blob/master/mscore/importgtp.cpp…) it is written as "G\u00fciro", \u00fc being the Unicode for ü, seems the "\" somehow got lost in Translation or not interpereted correctly. The ü itself is not in 7-bit ASCII and as such not portable for use inside C or C++ code.
This 'issue' got introduced in 273e4bfc8f79
