Trouble with note input -Newbie
1st time user v2 recently downloaded. I'm trying to input the notes as shown in the phrase shown in the attachment. If I enter the grace note, then enter the 1st note of the triplet, the grace note disappears and the 1st triplet note (E) turns into a 16th note automatically, even though I selected 8th note in the palette. This is frustrating. What am I doing incorrectly here?

for tuplets you need to specify the total length, of the enitre tuplet.
And I think the grace note Needs to get added to the furst note of the tuplet, so after that tuplet has been created.
See Tuplet: Chosen duration is for tuplet total, so choose 1/4, input tuplet notes; then grace note.

Ah, makes sense. Total value of the triplet is 1/4, so I choose 1/4 note then select triplet.

to enter a triplet of 8th you should first select the 4th value, then hit CTRL3 which allows you to enter the triplet.
Pay attention that if the next beat is also a 8th triplet you should reiterate the selection of 4th value followed by CTRL3
