Cannot insert Staff Text
I selected a note and pressed CTRL-T to enter staff text. I can see something has happened because the Inspector and the status bar display different content. But there's no box to type into, no cursor appears. Clicking anywhere terminates the process. Running MuseScore 2.0.2 under Windows 8 on a Fujitsu Lifebook.

Yes, see my reply to Marc, that did the trick. I owe you a beer.
For the record, no box should normally appear, but a cursor should. Does this happen for any score, any note? Can you post a specific score and precise steps to reproduce the problem so we can see if it is something unique to that particular spot? I guess maybe if you have set the staff text Text Style to be very small or something else non-standard you might not be able to see the cursor.

Thank you, I'm reluctant to post the score because it's something where the copyright does not belong to me, I'm only creating a fair-use archival document. The suggestion to just start typing worked, and I decided to try it in an area that was a little less cluttered and I can now make out the cursor and the little box. I guess I expected the box to appear below the staff instead of above, but anyway it seems that I was just not sufficiently observant or persistent, but I do appreciate the prompt help anyway.

If you generally prefer staff text below the staff, you can change the vertical offset in the Text Style to make that the default. Also, in the future, you can always make a copy of a score and delete all but the relevant measure before posting. But I think that's not needed here, sounds like you undated what is happening now.
