articulations always on top
[I have updated this, I used the wrong word for "stem"]
Not sure if this is a bug that should be fixed, or a new feature. I'll start here in "feature requests".
I like to have all articulations above the staff in my bigband scores. that is easy to fix. I just select
Style -> General -> Articulation, Ornaments
And then change the ones I need, like "Marcato" to "Above Staff".

However, for notes that have the stem upwards, and the notehead downwards, the articulation ends up right over the note head. Perhaps this is the way it should be, but I think it looks much better if it sits right over the stem instead, that is, slightly more to the right.

Yes, of course. Sorry about that. I have updated the original post.
I am not sure what would be my proposal for doing this.
Either, the default placement of articulations above notes where the stem points upwards is just changed, so that is always happens like this, and people who would want it over the notehead would have to move it manually.
Or, a new option is introduced on the 'Style -> Genral -> Articulations, Ornaments' dialog where it is possible to chose the behaviour.
