Use the attached MuseScore file:
Insert a horizontal frame before bar 1. Now insert a vertical frame or vertical text frame at the same bar. The brace and staff name break away. If there is no name, then only the brace breaks away. This happens with more complex systems also.
Now go to the final bar. Append a horizontal frame, then append a vertical frame or vertical text frame. The brace, staff name and a section of the bar line breaks away from the end.

Confirmed.
Former issue, since more a year. The following images has been produced with this Nightly:56177c3
It's fails, as described above, by beginning "Insert horizontal frame" then " Insert vertical frame" via the first measure.
- But, as the actual result, it's works in the reverse case "Vertical frame -> Horizontal frame"
Another effect of this issue is that if you append a Vertical/text frame to the score, then try to append a horizontal frame, the HF is placed after the vertical/text frame! This means that you cannot use the HF to reduce the width of the last bar.
An appended HF should always go after, but on the same line as, the final bar, and the VF/TF should always go after the appended HF.
No, append means append. But it should be made possible to select a frame (rather tan a measure) and insert another frame, which would insert it before that.
I believe this is related to the same bug. If you add several horizontal frames to something like a piano score, the brackets are inserted into the third frame inserted. See attached score.
