As of June 29th, Finale v25.4 and the Dolet 7.0 for Finale plug-in produce MusicXML 3.1. MuseScore ignores the 3.1 version number, but when a 3.1 feature is used, MusicXML schema validation fails.
The current MusicXML 3.1 schema (which is still in beta) should be supported by MuseScore.

Would this be as simple as replacing the ...mscore/Schema/*.xsd files with their latest versions from https://github.com/w3c/musicxml?
Also probably remove ...mcore/schema/license.html and update ...mscore/aboutmusicxmlbox.ui
If so, here's a PR: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/3254
MusicXML 3.1 should be finalized very soon. The plan was end of july.
Jojo,
indeed, this only implies updating the ...mscore/Schema/*.xsd, changing the license to the W3C CLA license and (if necessary) updating aboutmusicxmlbox.ui.
Nicolas,
I could not find a public deadline for the final 3.1 release. If this is a matter of days, we should, of course, skip the beta version and go straight to the final version.
Regards, Leon.

I think: Include.
Other software has already begun to use.
If there is a problem, fix it in the next minor version.
