Emmentaler IIRC is the only font where the curly brace is 'manually created' rather than taken from the Musical Font. Not sure about Gonville, but that setting has no effect on MuseJazz, Bravura, Petaluma and Leland.
If that is by design, at least a ToolTip mentioning that restriction would be due.

Gonville is drawn manually as well according to Bracket::layout(). I suppose it might be possible to amend the code to take that setting into account, but right now it's about 100 hard-coded constants and I wouldn't have a clue which are relevant.

I thought it was related to this known issue: #313601: Curly braces in Leland, Bravura, MuseJazz and Petaluma don't scale properly when extended to more staves
So, related or not?
Nope, different issue and fixed meanwhile too, should be in 3.6 RC
