Project
It's often done on violin notation to put a glissando on an unique note like in this file, a glissando line with the word glissando or with a waved line like in this file. MuseScore only allows this type of lines between two notes.
Workaround : Use two voices. See steps (in french) in this file.

This is basically what the "Fall/Doit" palette is in the latest nightly builds (except it uses a curved line instead of the straight line shown in your example). If there are no objections, I want to move these two items to the glissando palette.
No objection. However it's only loosely related to this feature request. The point is to add the ability to have a straight line with glissando on it and wavy line on a single note. Working like the doits indeed.
I see this too, but I just wonder, is it perhaps a glissando to grace after note, with the latter made invisible?
I think the request may also be related to a forum topic I saw once, where someone wanted slurs to be able not to have a end note.....
I may find it if needed.....

Better workaround these days - use a "grace note after" and gliss to that. Better still would be if the existing (in 2021, not in 2010!) "fall" or :slide out" from the palette worked for playback.
