1) Create a new MuseScore file
2) Create some notes with fingering for more than one system
3) Under Format > Style... > Bar Numbers: Set "Every system"
4) Change first bar's "Add to bar number:" (Under "Bar properties") to any other number
Results:
A) Fingering of the next system's first bar disappears.
B) The bar numbers of the following systems are not updated (only that one which properties were changed gets a new number).
A provisional solution: To see everything like it really is you just have to save the file. It's no big deal to do that every time, but it's a little annoying.
I'm sorry for my English.

The fingering issue is already fixed for the next update, see #283323: Disappearing fingering on a subsequent system after layout change. The measure number issue has a pending PR - see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/4549
to fix #281426: Excluding measure from measure count causes bad count; fixes on relayout
I had the suspicion to have seen that issue before, but couldn't find it
PR https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/4549 was merged
I had the same problem with the measure numbers ...
Thanks for the workaround by saving the file!!
