DRM files from musescore 2 to musescore 3
I've made some drm files in Musescore 2 to define the notes/sounds of some percussion instruments. When I try to use these files in Musescore 3 I get and error message:
Drumset file too old
! MuseScore may not be able to load this file
CANCEL IGNORE
When I press IGNORE, the file is loaded, but one or another note is missing or is wrong.
Is there a way to update my DRM files?
Or may be I could edit them with a askii editor if I knew what I have to change.

May be, as someone suggested, I could export the DRM file using Musescore 2 to some generic format that Musescore 3 would understand. Is it possible?

No. The ability to read them had been added as a pure convenience (we deemed it better than not loading them at all), but without any warranty, nor any conversion being in place.
It is an xml kind of file, so you can edit it with a text editor of your choice. Have a 3.x drm file next to it for comparison.

Thank you. It's a pity Musescore 3 is not fully compatible with musescore 2.

It is for the score format, mscz and mscx, but indeed not for some others, "helper" formats like drm, album, mss, pal, workspace
Maybe it works if you create a score in 2.x using that drm file, import the score into 3.x and then save the drm file from that. Same should work for mss.

Very good. It works. Thank you. I'm doing this now for my drm files created with Musescore 2, producing a Musescore 3 version of each file.

I thought it was working, but it's not, It seems that Musescore 3 uses a different numeration for the octaves, may be this is causing the problem.

I've notice now that sometimes I need to load the drm file twice to get it correct.
