how to change instruments
I wrote a piece for the piano, but I want to change the treble clef to violin (and forget about the bass clef). Is there a quick way to do that?

Note that the instrument will actually apply to both staves, so if you needed the bottom staff to still be piano, this would;dn't quite work. You'd need to add a new staff and copy/paste the music onto it, then delete the old staff. Luckily sounds like you just want to delete the bottom staff anyhow though :-)

Now for a slightly different question. I can't find in the handbook where it shows us how to add an instrument. How do I do that?

Here it is in the handbook:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/create-new-score#add-instruments
It can be found in the chapter "Create a new score" which is slightly confusing when searching for this, since you allready have created the scrore, and just want to add a new instrument.
