Changes to note input & palette use?
Hi all,
I have recently downloaded the newest version of musescore and I am enjoying it a lot! Thank you!
I have noticed one thing which has tripped me up quite a lot. I'll try my best to explain it.
When I am in "note input mode" (ie. typing notes) and I click on an ornament/dynamic/anything from a palette, I am then unable to automatically continue in note input mode. Previously I could simply click on an ornament and then enter the next note. Does that make sense?
Say I add two crotchet Fs (5 + F + F) ; that last F needs a staccato (click on the staccato in palette) ; the next note is a quaver G (4 + A). This last step doesn't work anymore.
Sorry for my terrible explanation of a simple problem!

Which version? Sometimes by the time you have posted and then gone back to check for a reply the latest version has already changed and certain bugs fixed.
Don't use a double click to apply the staccato but a single click. Or after a double click use Esc once.
This behavior is indeed new as of 3.4, it is listed as the 1st New feature in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/developers-handbook/release-notes/rel…

Or use Shift+S shortcut.
In general this should work and does for me. There can, however, be times when the palette gets focus - it is now possible to navigate within it by keyboard. Should this happens, just press Esc to return focus to the score.
