Open a score. Write a couple of bars using voice 1.
Go to one of the first bars, go into edit mode, chose another voice and add a quarter note to the bar.

So far so good, except:
- there is now a full rest added to the following bar.
This is a bug as one now needs to delete or hide that rest in the following bar.

I have had personal experience where the rest is basically hidden by other music and only after printing and reading it do I discover the phenomenon.

There is a little more to this, the extra rest only appears "sometimes". I've definitely seen it happen, but I'm not totally sure of the exact steps and can't seem to stumble on them right now. Can you describe more specifically? Maybe attach a score in the state right before the problem happens and then tell what to do from there?

In the attached file, bar 2 and 3.

I wrote a few notes of varying duration in 2 voices.
I then selected and deleted a few 1/8 notes and their rests in bar 2 , voice 2.

I then went to the same bar and tried to place other notes in voice 2.

I had removed a string of 2 - 1/4 notes. I then tried to write voice 2 notes, but even though I was entering 1/8 notes, when it got to beat 2 it skipped to the 3rd beat. (I had removed the 2nd voice, 2nd 1/4 note.

In the past a workaround I had used was to go to the first beat of bar 2, voice 2 and change it to a full bar (note or rest). This then filled out the bar with rests and voice 2 could be added.

As you can see there is now a full rest in bar 3. That popped up when I made the ist beat of bar 2 into a whole note.

Rests 2 shows the score before it happens. Select the 1/8 note on beat 1 bar 2 voice 2 and press 7.

Got it, thanks! I think the key may be about changing duration of a note or rest in voice 2. At least, that seems to be the key in this scenario. They may be others too.
