Select the bars and press Ctrl+DEL to remove them.

It does NOT work. I couldn't delete any bars. Musescore is so useless

It does work. Close and reopen MuseScore might be needed sometimes, esp. on Mac
Or use the menu Tools->Remove empty trailing measures?
Ctrl+Delete does work normally, be sure you've selected the bars first of course (so you see a blue rectangle around them). On macOS, you might try Cmd+Delete instead, although I believe Ctrl works as well.
There is a rather obscure bug where if you've accidentally pressed Ctrl+I (Mac: Cmd+I) at some point while working on your score (other than in text edit mode, where this a legit command to italicize), it will have the effect of disabling Ctrl+Delete. So, try pressing Ctrl+I again to get out of that weird bug state. or just restart MuseScore.
