Tremolo is not the same thing as tremolo bar (of an electric guitar). The former do play back, the latter apparently not, unlike bends, although it is similar to a bend
To be clear: tremolo bar *works* - the symbol appears in your score just as it was intended to. It is just that it currently doesn't also affect play back.
Would it be possible to finish the tremolo bar design and get the play back funtion? Now you can edit the curve as you like but it just appear as a unlcear symbol in the score. It seems that someone has been developing this but never got it completed. This would be a very good feature for guitarists and many others
Any idea if/when this could be fixed? Playback of tremolo bar is still not working in the version 3.4.2. The graphics seem to work now but playback still missing...
I too would like to see this working in playback.
I'm no expert, but it seems to me it should not be difficult to adapt the module that effects playback of bends to do this. The only difference is that it needs to accommodate both positive and negative pitch excursions. However, I'm sure I don't know what I don't know. I look forward to a solution and appreciate all you do.
By the way, the tremolo bar should more properly be called a vibrato bar. Tremolo is a variation in volume, vibrato is a variation in pitch. I understand that Fender has adopted this terminology.
A tremolo bar is a device attached to some electric guitars, to bend all strings.
A tremolo is a musical ornament (and one you won't create with a tremolo bar, to add to the confusion, as that device really is creating a vibrato)

Please upload your score. Every tremolo I've written in 2.1 works fine.

I see. Even when you change the properties nothing happens.

Might there be a workaround using an invisible bend that is tweaked to sound like the tremolo bar?
Any news on this? I just checked the version 3.5. The graphics work ok but the playback is still missing.
That is why this issue is still active ;-)

You are correct Steve, thanks. Most common vernacular is Whammy Bar.
Well, guitarists (and Fender) call it Tremolo Bar, even if that technically is wrong. We'd need to keep that mistake for historical reasons, IMHO. See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibrato_systems_for_guitar#Origin_of_names
(in German also called Wibbel , see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremolo_(Gitarre))
umm what's the difference between tremolo and tremolo bar
A tremolo bar is a device attached to some electric guitars, to bend all strings.

Tremolo = software
Tremolo bar = hardware

tremolo is not a software its a performance direction
In reply to tremolo is not a software… by SLJK
Yes, a performance direction as in
IF TextInScore = "Tremolo" then OperateTremoloBar
No, as that tremolo bar really performs a vibrato, not a tremolo
Now when we all know what tremolo bar etc mean, when could we get it functioning, too.
Well, bends (and portatos) to the rescue?
