When using a crescendo line (cresc----------), the option "continue text" will not change when I click on it. When I click the checkbox, the line is unchanged. Then when I leave the object by selecting something else, pressing Esc. or pressing Enter, the box checks itself again.
Here is an image of what I mean. My apologies for blurriness.

Also, another question. Is there any way to change how many hyphens there are on the line? Like make it go from the thick ------------ to a thinner more spaced-out: - - - -?
For questions we have the forum ;-) But yes, the line style can get changed, in the Lines Inspector.

Okay, thank you!
May I add another need for the edition of text for crescendos and diminuendos: to be able to change the text to caldo or calando (respectively for examples)?
@bersyl91: Editing that text is possible, via inspector
@Justin: I either don't understand the issue or can't reprduce it in 3.5.2
I believe the issue with continue text was fixed some time ago - see #288962: Score display does not respond to unchecking of "Begin/Continue/End text" boxes. And since I cannot reproduce the issue anymore anyhow, I'm closing this as a duplicate. Reopen if you find you can reproduce with some series of steps on 3.5.2 or current 3.6 development builds, and give the precise steps.
I see

Nice, thank you! I've learned something today.
It's not very consistent with other texts which you can edit simply by double-clicking on it.
It's line text and that's how you edit all other line text.
