I'm back again about a handbell soundfont
Only this time I have some actual samples I recorded! But now I'm running into some trouble with Polyphone. The raw audio samples I load in sound great, but as I progress through the soundfont editor they sound terrible, specifically between the Sample and Instrument tables, even though I haven't altered the sound in any way.
I've included the sf2 file in an archive below. Am I in way over my head? Is this type of thing beyond the scope of this forum? Right now I'm just going for a "proof of concept", which I why I only recorded a handful of samples.

I have a lot of respect for what you are trying to do.
I was unable to extract your zip file. But I was able to open the zip folder and copy the font to my font folder and experiment with it. You are right, it doesn't have that nice .... I don't know.... round handbell sound. I have limited experience with Polyphone. I wonder if sf3 might be better. The people over in the sound font forum or even at Polyform, might be able to help more.
Keep at it.

Not sure that sf3 would be better since it is more compressed and can lose quality on each save. If space saving is needed then it can be useful as a final save format but stay in sf2 while editing.

Oh wow, didn't even realize there's a Soundfont section now. This is probably more appropriate for there. Polyphone's forum is pretty dead, there are a handful of posts but it might take a month for someone to reply.
I can't extract your zip file. Is the sf2 too big to upload?

Try what I did. Double click the zip file to open it. Then copy and past the font to a different location.

Yeah it is, that's why I compressed it.
It can give a smooth result as I added.

Very nice.

Wow that is perfect! Did you just add in the numbers for the key range, or did you do something else too?

Key ranges adjusted,
Release-time parameter added,
Samples were also 90% normalized.
This is all, albeit a sketchy work.

It's a huge improvement, thank you! I'll continue to tweak it but this gives me a good starting point.
