The mixer dialog in the latest 3.x dev. build is not correct upon opening the dialog.
The sound details are not shown (as seen in below screenshot):
However the arrow used for the button believe the details are shown.
After clicking the first time, the button/arrow changes:
Clicking the button again, makes the sound details appear:
Can someone please check this?
PS> I tested with the Public Beta release (mid-december) and works correct in the that release

This is a known issue that you can work around by checking the "Show MIDI controls in the Mixer" option in Edit / Preferences / Score (not sure why it's on that particular page, but anyhow...). And supposedly this is solved by https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/7145. See also #286153: Check box "Show MIDI controls in mixer" in Preferences/Score page has no effect. I'll leave this open until we can verify it is truly fixed, though.

Seems not completely resolved. I.e. "Show MIDI controls in the Mixer" option does have effect now, but it does not take the initial state of the "arrow button" into considiration. Tested on my self compiled version which includes the referenced pull.
Changing the default to show it would solve this, not that the setting is no longer ignored
See https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/7400
Fixed in branch 3.x, commit cb08382aac
_Fix #315408: Mixer panel not fully shown when opened
Before #7145, to fix https://musescore.org/en/node/286153, that setting got ignored, so it always showed the full mixer._

Not really sure if this has been fixed. The panel is indeed showing or not depening on the setting in preferences, however when I set my preference to be not to show I still need to click twice to make the panel appear. The initial state of the button shows an up arrow. After the first click, it changes to the down arrow. Then after another click the panel is shown.
Confirmed.
