Looking for an old version of the Musescore General soundfont
hello. I based a song I wrote around the electric pianos available in the MuseScore_General soundfont. It updated a while ago, and the electric pianos I used were replaced with ones that do not fit the piece I wrote. Please help me find either the old soundfont or one with good electric pianos -- I am really proud of this piece and it's not in a good state anymore.
I named the parts after the instrument names in mixer: "Bell Tine Synth" and "Chorused Tine EP". I found reference to these two instruments in this document
https://musescore.org/sites/musescore.org/files/MIDI%20Sounds%20from%20…
but I have no idea how to use it to help me. If anyone knows, please help. Thank you.

I'm not aware of any changes in the MuseScore General soundfont that would have removed.
Maybe @Christian S. Collins is
I see you also asked this a couple of months ago, and we explained then what was going on - see https://musescore.org/en/node/315409.

Yes I did, I found no solution. The instruments are still no longer there; I can send you a recording of how it sounded before and how it sounds now if that helps.

In that thread we explained the soundfont you were using was probably FluidR3. Did you install that?

I did, yes. I tried the ones listed in the handbook, and I found a download to an old version of fluidr3 elsewhere, neither had the sounds. I downloaded some old versions of musescore too to see if they had the soundfont, but no luck.
Does that PDF I linked mean anything to you? It includes the instruments I used so I know I'm not crazy, but I can't figure out if its any use.

“Bell Tine EP” and “Chorused Tine EP” are present in http://schristiancollins.com/generaluser.php but neither in TimGM6mb nor in FluidR3_Mono or MuseScore_General; the latter only has “Tine Electric Piano” and “Detuned Tine EP”.

That's it. I have no idea how you found that, but thank you so much. I don't remember downloading this soundfont, but I must have at some point. Thank you, I'm excited to finally be able to finish this piece.

makes sense. Looking back at that PDF I found with those instrument names, it was labelled "GeneralUser". I figured that was another/old name for Musescore_General and so I didn't look into it any further. Thank you for helping me!

Ah. With that info we’d have needed five seconds or so ☻ but glad we could help you.
