Line missing from palette?
In the Handbook on the lines page. The list of lines includes Guitar barre lines, but I don't see a line that would be called a Guitar barre line. Is it there? If so, which one? Either a picture or the words in yellow that appear when you put your mouse over it will work.

The 3rd to last, "VII-----" simply called Text Line

That's why I didn't know what it does.
I've just hit the same problem. I'm in Advanced workspace but the guitar barre line is not there

It is gone. Use a Text Line and adjust to your needs

Thanks. I found it in the end by trawling through the forum. Part of the problem is that I haven't used MS since V2 and things have changed a bit. Might be a good idea if someone updated the manual though.

The manual has been updated for MuseScore 3. That change however came with 3.6 IIRC. So if you're missing something, you can add it yourself.

Well, I know it must be a big job keeping all the cross references in the manual up to date but when I was trying to find out how to add a guitar barre position to my score I got taken here : https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lines. As you can see it clearly shows what I was looking for and therefore expecting to find in my lines palette. And when I was trying to find out how to change the staff text to what I need I was taken here : https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/text-editing which is the "old" method I believe. I wouldn't know where to start trying to update the manual and would be worried that I might do more harm than good
