Lyrics issue. Maybe a bug?
Hi, Gang!!!
I use MuseScore 3.6.2 Portable AppImage inside a 64 bit computer with Ubuntu Studio 20.04.2 LTS (Linux).
Since I've been used the 3.6.2 version, I've been experimenting a very rare issue with lyrics, when I update from old scores to the new style format, with Edwin font.
As you can see in the attached images, the issue is with the "‿" character. The first image is what I want to get. The second image is what I get when I "update" the original score to the new style with Edwin font characters.
Why? I don't know.
Is someone else experimenting this issue?
Does somebody know how to fix and/or work around it? ???
Blessings and greetings from Chile!!!
Juan

Hello! In order for us to assist, we really need the score itself, not just pictures.

Hi, Marc!!!
Here are the original score file and the "updated" score file:
There is more than one "‿" character. The one used in your old scores is different from the one that is generated by following the Handbook (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lyrics#elision for generation of Elision / Synalepha). It happens to map to a dark circle with a o in it in Edwin and in some other fonts.

In other words... I will have to change, manually, all those characters.
There should be some way to do this selecting those characters and change it with just one click.
Or... There should be a separated and dedicated panel to lyrics, with those capabilities.
Well... Just a dream... For now.

You could save your score in MSCX format (File / Save As) and do the search/replace in a text editor.
