Make the reprise stop mid-measure
Hello, I'm transcribing a bunch of Baroque italian Da Capo arias. a lot of them set the double barline as the end of the A section at the middle of the measure, and if I ever put "Fine" in that measure, the playback will only end at the end of the measure. Is there a way for me to make it end at the intended point, without having to chop in half two measures (whose sizes can't be reduced independently from other measures).
I insert an imaging that showcases what I am doing as the "solution" for playback VS what I'd actually prefer (for the measure size at least). As you can see, the measure on the left is quite large, compared to when it's one measure with a double barline inserted in the middle.

Splitting the measure is "The Way"(tm)
You can however definitely size those measures separately without issues. Try for example to select that barline and then give it a negative segment leading space.
