This is usually an indication that your OS is not communicating your display resolution in the way that MuseScore expects, so there will be other things that are off as well in terms of sizes. If you are on Windows, try finding the "MuseScore3.exe" file in "C:\Program Files\MuseScore3\bin" and right-clicking it, Properties, and finding high DPI compatibility settings and changing to "System" or "System (enhanced)".

Thanks so much for you explanation. Unfortunately, I was able to get to Properties but I could not get to DPI settings. So for now, I’m going back to MuseScore 2 which still works perfectly. It’s upsetting because MuseScore 3 used to work perfectly too. Maybe with the next Windows update this will be resolved.

The DPI settings are, I think, in a section labeled "compatibility". Do a web search for more info, but see for example:
